Turret Coffee

Named for the little turret trucks that once zipped fish through Tsukiji, this tiny Chuo City espresso counter packs outsized personality. Owner Kiyoshi Kawasaki has been pulling serious shots since 2013 in a room barely bigger than a market stall — chalkboard swagger, standing-room intimacy, and the signature house latte (a proper double-shot milk drink, not dessert in disguise). Espresso sometimes lands in sake cups; seasonal spice or berry mochas keep regulars curious. Expect Streamer beans, careful extraction, and dorayaki when luck is on your side. Compact Tokyo espresso culture: watch the pour, taste the bitterness dialed with care, and feel the market neighborhood still humming.
